Detection Modes

For proper operation all DIP switch changes must be followed by pressing the reset button on the device.

Loop Installation Information

The loop detector works with inductive loops that are installed in the ground. These loops are typically made using insulated wire installed in a rectangular or circular shape cut into the road surface and connected to the detector.

Common loop sizes and the recommended number of wire turns:

• Loops with perimeter between 3 and 4 meters: 6 turns

• Loops with perimeter between 4 and 6 meters: 5 turns

• Loops with perimeter between 6 and 10 meters: 4 turns

• Loops with perimeter between 10 and 20 meters: 3 turns

• Loops over 20 meters: 2 turns

Loops should be installed using a suitable resin or asphalt material to secure the wire in place. The loop wires connect to the detector using standard two-core cable. For longer distances a shielded two-core cable is recommended.
